We all have smart phones that do a million things, not the least of which is tell us the time. For some this is a great thing because their faces or glued to their phone every second of everyday. This is also holds true with many of the modern day travelers. What better way to kill time right?
“Why Travelers Need a Wrist Watch”
The problem with your cell phone is that it is sooo far away (in a sense). In your pocket, your back pocket, your purse, or travel bag. Tucked away out of site when it is not in use. It might as well be left in there at this point.
With so much other important stuff in these areas when your traveling like your wallet, plane ticket, cash, limp balm, handkerchief, or whatever. There is stuff falling out when your trying to get to your phone.
Having a Wrist Watch while traveling makes things sooo much easier. A quick glance at the wrist and you know what time it is. No fumbling around in a rush situation or anything.
Actually this wearing a watch thing isn’t just for traveling. Commuting is also one of those areas that a wrist watch is useful over your phone. Again, if your face isn’t berried in your phone already.
There are something things we would suggest when traveling. If your traveling to an unfamiliar area then leave the Rolex Watch at home. There is no reason in risking your insurance premier going up for your jewelry that may get lost or stolen. In this case maybe bring the number 2 or number 3 watch in your collection just in case.
If your nice watch does make it on vacation with you be sure that you’ve got the crown closed after you’ve adjusted for the local time. We constantly hear about someone taking a dip in a pool or the ocean after traveling and not closing the crown.
